I think that's for the live webcam that's only operational during the
actual event. The only mystery is why the link is still on the page the
rest of the year. Maybe at one point he had it configured to just show
the last pics that were grabbed.
Have you found the meet reports for previous years yet? The main meet
report index is here:

Look for anything that says "BBQ" or "Daktoberfest". Unfortunately, some
of us (myself included) haven't been very diligent about maintaining these
reports, so you might find some broken links. But there are also a lot of
good pictures and stores under there, you just have to dig around a bit.
You've got me looking forward to this year already... :-) Hope you can
make it out, it's always a good time.
