Sometimes I wish someone would just put Chrysler out of its misery.
This vehicle (if it happens) is an answer to a question no one is
asking.

FTA:
The vehicle "is an insurance policy that the plant will continue on
three shifts at full capacity," Doug Shepard, editor of
AutomotiveCompass' weekly report, which tracks current and future
global auto production, was quoted as saying in the report.

IOW, they're building it to keep equipment & people busy at the plant
- not because there's market demand. With gas at $4/gallon (and we all
know how great Chrysler at designing fuel-efficient vehicles), they're
targeting a old, larger vehicle which is seeing declining sales.

A day late, a dollar short.
