Speaking of which...
Anyone know what the times are for a stock Dakota? 4x4, 2x4, sport,
club cab, etc? Also, what kind of times are reasonably acheivable?
(I mean, I'm sure you could get a Dakota to do 11's, but I wouldn't
want to have to pay your bills. ;-) Any idea what kind of times
list members are getting?
On a related topic, Vortech makes a supercharger for the 318 Dakota. Its
a do-it-yourself job, with all hardware nescessary included in the kit.
It'll supposedly give you a gain of 79hp and 60 lb-ft. So with the
supercharger installed, your stock truck would jump to 309bhp and
355lb-ft of torque. Sounds like quite the performance addition, but
I don't have a price. Anyone know what a supercharger costs? I'm
guessing $3,000-$4,000? Theres no way I'd be able to afford it
right now anyway, just curious. :-)
Anyway, I wonder what kind of times are possible with new headers,
exaust, the MP chip, and a Vortech supercharger? :-)
Oh, BTW: The tiny write up on the supercharger in the magazine I have says
for more info to contact vortech. If anyone is interested, the address is:

(No, I'm not affiliated with Vortech, no, this is not an ad... :-)
