Sorry, the pre-cleaner is a open cell foam wrap that goes around an open
element air cleaner. It adds 1" of additional filter for large particles.
this blocks all the road grime kicked up on wet days, seems to also stop
the rain from hitting the main filter too.

I ordered it all from a local speed shop. If I remember correctly, the
breather was < $20. I forget the part number, but just measure your
breather gromet's diameter and then let the guy (or gal) at the parts
counter look it up. I think there were two that fit the Dodge opening. I
chose the Chrome top one to match the new air cleaner housing. Sorry, I
don't have those part numbers with me today.

Never had trouble with bugs with the open element filter.

I always try to deal with my local shop. They know me there, and once when
I had a wheel fall off (not the Dakota, but my old Jeep) because some
lowlife removed all but the lock lug, I was able to call them and had a new
wheel mounted the next day. Where else can you drop by and look at all the
neat stuff and not have to worry about some sales mink bothering you?

These are also the guys who allowed me to test fit the filter in the
parking lot and then when I needed the special piece to fit between the
intake and the housing, they gave me an old Holley spacer for nothing. On
top of that, they gave me a new threaded rod so the wing nut had a better
bite. they also supplied some other pieces here and there to make several
other of my custom mods work.

Support your local shop, especially a good one!
