As far as I can tell, Chrysler does use the Alpine design for their changer,
but the connector is very different than the Alpine brand stuff. I tried
for several weeks to get the proper connector to hook my old changer to the
radio. I was not successful. Also, the radio is NOT a controller, you
will need to add a second controler just for the CD, and that controller
doesn't fit the Garage Door compartment in the overhead console. No, every
manufacturer uses a different interface to their changers. The input on
the rear of the radio is a line level input, and the radio automaticly
selects that for input when a signal is found on it. (At least that is
what I've heard from various sources, never did get it to work)

I'm not sure which system you have, but mine (the high end Infinity) has
some type of external amp for the front speakers. (Possibly the rear too,
but I never checked) I found this out while I tried to use the stock front
speakers with a new radio. I never did get it to work properly. I ended
up replacing the whole thing.
