Check the Dakota mail list for Tech Service Bulletin titles, if anything
relates to poor idle on an 88, go to the dealer and have them print it.

A similar problem on my 93 was caused by an Idle Air Control motor, but
your fuel injection is totally different from mine. Good Luck.
