Well it looks like CC revised the fuel delivery system in 95. My 89 3.9l and
Bill Counties 94 5.2l have an external fuel filter mounted to the frame rail.
If it were my vehicle I would add an external filter and try and find away to
either eliminate the in tank filter or gut the element out of it. Having the
filter part of the fuel pump module is a sure way to discourage changing it.
