MAINT REQD light

I have an 89 3.9L V6, I recently had the maint reqd light come on. I believe
that this is some type of emissions light. I had it smogged (I was due
anyway) and it checked fine. My question is if there is a reset button or
maybe grounding a line that someone may know of. Any info on this would be
appreciated.
