About the computer error codes, I don't know if they erase themselves when
the SBEC is rebooted or unplugged (can't remember). To check the codes
turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on in 5 seconds or less (which
is not a problem).
The CHECK ENGINE light will remain on for a few seconds then turn off,
after a few more seconds it will begin blinking. The blinks will be in
two sets, each set of blinks being counted, eg, three blinks, pause, two
blinks = 32. A code of 12 means that the battery has been disconnected,
computer unplugged, etc, and 55 means end of codes. If those are the only
two obtained there are no fault codes stored.

Hope that's understandable.
