My '93 was rated at 230 hp. I remember making a point of this to my roommate,
who has a Grand Cherokee - same engine, 220 hp.

The difference between '93 and later models was a less restrictive exhaust.
Might have something to do with truck emissions standards changing too, dunno.

The Mopar Performance SBEC will get you well beyond 230, to more like 250 hp.
The nice thing is that when you tire of paying $1.70/gal for premium ($1.63
last night!) you can just swap again.
