I spoke w/ a guy at Supershops who recommended The
Terminator for a single 3" cat-back system. He said they are
"mellower" and more readily available than the Dynaflows (maybe
according to his warehouse) and around $40. They can be had in
many different in/out size configs., including "2 in / 1 out" for
Chevy 5.8 stock replacement. Speaking of Chevy, my neighbor
got the California Turbo "2 in / 2 out" single muffler for his 95
Silverado and it sounds smoooooth!
