Didn't know that anyone beside Mopar made a performance computer for
Mopars. Unlike inferior vehicles (we won't mention any names to protect
the innocent) the whole computer needs to be changed with Mopars. It
takes all of 5 minutes including finding the right socket, picking up the
screw that rolled under the middle of the truck and all the other fun
stuff that always happens.
Really sort of doubt that 30-40 hp could be gained with no other change
than the engine controller though, unless the engine in question had
pretty sorry original programming. For that amount of increase it would
seem that serious air intake and outgo work would be needed along with
remapping the timing and injectors.
