104 octane boost

I don't want to dig up a dead horse... but...
I thought 104+ and other octane boosters were deemed to do more
damage than good. Reason: just look at your fouled plugs after you
use 104+. This is certainly true with racing Porsches.

I have never tried 104 octane boost in my Dakota, but I use it regularly in
my boat with 135 Hp mercury outboard, and motorcycle, yamaha XT600.
I have never experienced any problems in either of these engines. When
you look at the spark they are a different color then normal, a yellow
orange tint, but they are not fouled. I believe the spark plug color is a
result of the orange coloring of the 104+. I am not convinced it makes a
big difference, but a few horsepower could be the difference between
winning and losing a race.
