If anyone is interested, I could piece together some work instructions
on the steps needed to change the Magnum's roller lifters, which is a piece
of cake easily done on a Saturday. I could send a 4.5 Meg file to every one
or just keep it simple (heh-heh, just kidding) Also, I found that the factory
let my intake manifold gaskets slip when they built the motor, which blocked
a good 0.25" section of my ports, they definately slap them on there. Before
I
found this out, the motor would only pull to 5700 rpm and now it pulls to
6000
rpm due to more port velocity feeding the heads, which flow extremely well
stock.
Here is some info on the Magnums (V-6 also) you guys might enjoy:
9.3775 compression
1.916 intake and 1.624 exhaust valves
Stock heads Flow Data @28 inches:
62cc combustion area in the heads
0.1 lift intake=63.30 cfm 48.96 exhaust
0.2 lift=125.73in 104.04ex
0.3 lift=171.46in 141.78ex
0.4 lift=193.22in 150.96ex
0.5 lift=196.76in 152.59ex
0.6 lift=199.76in 155.44ex
0.7 lift=205.20in 157.00ex
These aren't wimpy heads!
93 5.2 cam specs:
Valve overlap 31 degrees
Intake closes ABC 61* opens BTC 10* duration 250*
Exhaust closes ATC 21* opens BBC 60* duration 264*
I lost the lift specs, so if anyone has a copy, please mail them out...
