Just so you don't think that this mechanic is a total bozo...if the
transmission is not warmed to operating temperature at least every
week of driving, it can cause problems. Moisture condenses inside of
the tranny and will not boil off unless the tranny oil gets hot enough.
Since the oil is cooled in the engine radiator, the truck needs to be
run further in the winter time to achieve operating temperature in
the tranny if the engine is not getting hot (due to failed thermostat).
Sorry...I don't know anything about the power module.
