I agree with JT McBride that it is the shocks and cornering hard. I don't
agree that these are 30k mile tires. Like the Kellogg Frosted Flake
confessors, I think the Wrangler A/T "are Grrrrr-ATE!" The tires do cup on
the front. I rotated them twice and got 61k miles out of the first set --
they were not to the wear bars yet, but winter is here so I replaced them.
Bought three new P235s and rotated the spare out from underneath. I replaced
the shocks too with the new tires. Next time I think I'll try LT235s which
have a stiffer sidewall and more tread!

My truck does have the payload package which includes heavy-duty shocks. Dave
. . . sounds like you're a regular Ben-Hur; you probably need to replace the
stock shocks and maybe get a sway-bar.

Last time I supported the A/T's on the list, a couple of Goodyear confessors
sent me email (they didn't reply to the list, of course). One guy got 70k out
of his set, and another guy got two sets to go over 60k each.

I'm having problems with the stock Wrangler A/T's that came on my 95 4x4.
They have developed a cupping type of wear pattern that you would see with
bad shocks or bad balancing.

I've kept them infated properly, rotated every 5k miles, balanced, and even
had it aligned at 12k miles. Now at 18k miles it looks like they are going
to bite the dust before 22-25K.

Thanks, Dave
