My '68 Camaro has manual brakes with drums all the way around. I think it
stops pretty well. I haven't an opportunity to lock them up but I think they
could do it.

I've thought of upgrading to power brakes and front-disc but driving with
manual brakes is kinda fun. You have to put some serious foot into the Whoa
pedal to get her to slow down. :^)
