As with most 'specialized' tires (High performance, AT tires, etc.) Unless
they are specifically designed for long wear, chances are they won't. My friend
had a Wrangler jeep with 'wranglers' on it... He got about 15k out of the tires
before they were toast... He went with what I run, BFG's... On my last set
(on a 4x2 '91 Dakota, with spinning rear tires!) I got 42000... My friend's
jeep put about 35000 his set before he rolled it (it was in an accident, not
4x-ing)... My current set of BFG's on my '95 4x2 Dakota have about 23000mi, and
still have at least 1/2 tread left... General tire makes a very comprable (?sp?)
tire to the BFG, and it has a 40k warranty (*tread is more for street than for
dirt), and the tire is about $20.00 cheaper... The BFG doesn't have a mileage
rating, but I knew from experience that it would give me at least 40000mi...
Even on my BFG's I get the cupping...If it's on the front, it is from going
a little too fast in the corners... If it's on the rear is typically from too
much wheel hop! (Been to the drag strip huh??!?) :)
