Dave;
While I agree that shifting out of overdrive on a hill or even
shifting out of overdrive due to Throttle movement is normal, my
problem is - shifting into and out of overdrive on straight level
highways with no change in throttle! (at least no change in throttle
by me. The throttle position sensor may disagree!) I can be driving
steady at 68MPH and for no apparent reason, the tranny will drop out of
overdrive and then seconds later jump back in. This has been happening
about 8 to 10 times a minute after it initially starts happening. As I
said before, it takes 20-25 minutes of 65MPH speed before it ever starts
happening, but once it starts, it doesn't stop until the truck gets
turned off for a while and gets cold. (definitely sounds like a tempature
problem of some sort, but temp of what?
