Let a man buy a fish and a vendor is gonna try to charge him $1500
to eat.

Teach a man to fish and he can tell the vendor to shove it.

Moral of the story: "professionals" are very often full of shit
and more interested in lightening your wallet than practicing their
profession. Buy the factory shop manual and learn about your own
vehicle. Pay close attention to the fine print, be careful, and
you'll do a better job 95% of the time because you have a vested
interest.

I have rarely been impressed or had my problems solved on the
few occasions when I've handed my vehicles over to "professionals."
DIY is the ultimate ethic.
