Someone posted here stating that the +10hp increase for the 5.2l in '96 was
due to CC going with roller rockers. That got me thinking that since the
3.9l is 3/4 of the 5.2, the roller rockers should fit it too. I asked a
tech guy from Howell Automotive, who sells kits from Crane Cam, and he said
it would drop right in. Of course, the kit goes for ~$380, and I only need
3/4 of it.
I'm a mechanical engineer, and some of the engineering mags I read have had
articles on the use of roller rockers to decrease engine noise and increase
efficiency.
Anyone know of a kit for the V6? Could I just order the CC rockers for the
newer 5.2?
