The 275/45/17's would be even smaller. Approx. 26 3/4"
diameter....great for cornering but would look small. If you want
something close to the 31's I'd recommend a 275/60/17 which is the
same size as the Indy Ram. This is a 30" tire with a 10.8 section
width...very close to your 31x10.5's. Dunlop and B.F. Goodrich both
make this size. B.F.G. also has their new Sport Truck T/A that comes
in sizes for larger dia. rims like a 285/60/16 - 29.5" dia., 315/55/16
- 29.6" dia., 345/55/16 - 31" dia., and a 345/55/17 - 32" dia.
Look back at some of the posts from yesterday where we were discussing
wheel widths and backspacing for some of the wider tires. If you've
got 4x4 flares and you like the tire-outside-fender look than you're
all set!! Hope this helped.

So, has anyone thought of using really low profile tires on
larger-diameter rims? I was thinking perhaps of 275/45Z17, on a custom
rim. On a 4x4 the wheel arches look empty with the stock 235/75-15s,
and only a bit better with the 31/10.5-15s now installed.
