COMPRESSION TEST

Has anyone done a compression test on their V8??

what is the ratio on a '93?

i am curious as to what it tests at new and then i will do mine. i have 40K
miles

i think it is 9.1:1 compression and that would give 133.7 psi (ideally)

but i don't think it will yeild more than 120 psi brand new

i am wondering what everyone's numbers are. i have a warranty and i want to
know if i should keep putting in synthetic or if i should put in
conventional oil so i don't postpone an (possibly free) overhaul past the
warranty period
if it is about to go then i want it to blow now so it gets fixed free
rather than squeak it by the warranty period(80K)

if it blows under warranyt i can modify it on someone else's expense. i
paid 1300b for a 4 year ext. warranty . i bought the truck in august.
