I often get a squealing sound when I shift from 1st to second. It seems
to happen when there is more load than usual. That is, it happens when I
shift into 2nd a little prematurely and ease out on the clutch a little
slower than usual, to give it time to get up to speed. Obviously I can
avoid this by shifting later, but it never used to do this. The squeal
sounds almost exactly like tires spinning on cement. I'm not 100% sure, but
I think it'll do the same thing in other gears also.
I've also noticed this sound when starting my truck after it having been
sitting outside in the cold overnight. (only once or twice for that though)
Any ideas?
