I agree. Chrysler has had a problem for years with belt slippage and
squealing. This becomes even more pronounced when the belt is cold
and lacking some of its flexibility. Belt dressing works to cure the
squeal but it also softens the belt and reduces its life.

I often get a squealing sound when I shift from 1st to second.
I've also noticed this sound when starting my truck after it having been
sitting outside in the cold overnight. (only once or twice for that though)
Any ideas?
