Rob Agnew's last comment about the "pinging" noise reminded me of a wierd
noise my '92 had that was traced to the muffler after I'd had the truck 3
or 4 months. Dealer replaced the muffler and the noise went away. Loose
baffle or something inside the muffler I think. The sound resembled
pinging but was "tinnier" sounding if that makes any sense.
