Well, I have a friend that works at Midas, he had these mufflers from Rhino
that where constructed exactly like a Dynomax Ultra-Flo. It is straight thru,
oval, about 30" long and full 3" diameter inside and out. It welded on about
8"-10" away from my convertor (with a 2.5" to 3" welded adapter) and has a
welded turndown just before the rear axle. I'm not gonna tell you guys the
price I paid or you'll all be trying to get a buddy at a Midas shop ;) At any
rate, it is still bass-y sounding at idle, but when I got in it, I could here
the tranny whine, injectors, gas in my stomach, ect, with NO POWER LOSS in
the pulling range. I'll record a new WAV soon and you guys can hear the
difference. Being that I like big blocks with glass packs and lawnmowers with
open exhaust, I am really impressed with this quiet throaty sound.
