Emissions test failure.....Psyche!

Well, here goes....I pull in and the guy with the gut asks me, "What's under
there?"... "Stock small block Chrysler sir"..."You gotz an exhaust?"..."Yes
sir"..."It sure don't sound stock"...."Yeh, I guess the Viper doesn't
either". So he proceeds to take the 640rpm idle measurements (with no looks
under the hood asked), then has me take it up in third to 33mph and
24-2500rpm. "Okay son, you passed"..."These aren't the droids your looking
for"...."These aren't the droids we're looking for"...."Move along"...."Move
along, move along..." So anyway, at idle I am allowed 220ppm of HC, mine was
0006; allowed 01.20% of CO, mine was 00.00; greater than 6.00% of CO plus
CO2, mine was 15.34. In third gear you are allowed 220ppm of HC, mine was
0007; 01.20% of CO, mine was 00.00 again; and CO plus CO2 (greater than 6.00)
mine was 14.94. No carbon monoxide? I can't even kill myself in the garage
but only make myself nausious? The high CO plus CO2 is contributed by the
Crane HI-6. My underdrive pulleys did not affect my idle voltage enough to
affect the emissions.
Another clean burning tire smoker for Washington state. I am curious of a
showroom floor Dak's specs...
