No FIPK for '97's that I know of but you can do your own version for
much less than a K&N version would be.
John at K&N had told me on the Ram applications you could expect a
8-10 hp improvement using a stock replacement K&N filter and about a
18 hp improvement using an open element FIPK. He wouldn't guarantee
this for the '97 Dakota's but didn't say it wouln't work either.
I *love* my clone. HUGE improvement. Should fit the same on your V6.
DO IT!

I've had my 97 SLT CC 4x4 V6 since last November and love it so far. =
I've been hearing good things about K&N and FIPK's. My question is, do =
they make one for a V6? And, if so, how much HP and mileage could I =
expect to gain from one? Is anyone using one on a V6?
