I've used a bunch of different street tires to include
Goodyears(Gatorbacks),Firestones(Firehawk FTX, ans SS), Bridgestone
HP41, BFG TA and now Dunlop GT Qualifiers. The Dunlops are by far the
best sticking street tires I have ever had. They stick better than my MT
Sportsmans(not sportsman pros). I just got to the semi finals in the
street muscle category of the Musclecar challenge series at Kennedale
Texas yesterday. I posted my best ever 60ft of 2.13 and best 1/8th mile
ET of 9.56 at 73.7mph. Launching pretty agressively, I only had
noticeable wheelspin once, still posting a 2.16 60ft. Friend and fellow
Dallas Mopar Club member Karl Moltzan got runner up with his 92 extended
cab Dak. Glad to hear everyone's taking their Daks to the strip. Oh yea,
you CAN win with a five speed(I did at the motorplex last year in no
electronics to the tune of $250). Good luck and keep racing.
