You can tell by the part number on the plug. Depending on the brand, one
step colder plug is usually one number lower part number. The insulator
(ceramic part) length can be varied so the plug can run cooler
lessening/preventing detonation. Normally, you want to run the hottest
plug that won,t detonate for best performance.
