ABS owners are strongly advised to completely bleed the brake system once
a year or more often in moist climates. The little bitty parts in the control
unit depend on that brake fluid for lubrication. DOT 4 fluid too - it's
the same stuff as DOT 3, except a little drier, that gives it just a little
more capacity to absorb moisture.
