It's all slowly coming back, old timer's disease and all, but a few things
on cold air and K&N clones. Various factory road racing motorcycles have
been rigged with ultra trick looking sealed air boxes that were supposed
to improve performance and didn't. In fact hurt performance. The same
with road racing cars and Bonneville cars. If the air pick up is in a low
pressure area or an area of turbulence the air flow isn't there and
performance is hurt. The folks who designed these things, at least for
the factory bikes and cars, were trained engineers too soooo.

There was also a comment about if it was so good the factory'd do it
already. Which is why we have all the aftermarket parts which improve
performance. Lotsa people like peace and quiet, performance be d**ned.
