I agree with you that the 4.6 is a crappy engine. However, in it's 305
horsepower form (mustang cobra gt - see Motor Trend's 10/95 issue), it'l
beat the crap out of the 230 horse 5.2, and even the 245 horse 5.9 V-8.

I sure wouldn't!
Car Curb weight Hp lbs/hp
Avenger* 2888 245 11.79
Mustang** 3439 305 11.28
Camaro*** 3424 305 11.22
Fierbird**** ~3424 315 ~10.87
* That's the weight of an avenger without the added weight of sticking in
a V-8, or a heavier transmission, and beefing up the frame to handle the
extra power.
** Mustang Cobra GT SVT
*** Camaro Z28 SS
**** Pontiac SLP Firehawk (I couldn't find the exact weight, so I used the
Camaro's)
I'd put my cash on one of the General's cars.

Well, According to your profile, you've got NOS. If the 'stang had NOS,
i'd be bye bye dakota.

Again, Camaro+NOS = heck of alot faster than dakota+NOS

Even though the avanger would be slower than the mustang, I'd take the
avenger before the mustang 'cause I can't stand Fords; however I'd take
the Camaro Z28 SS anyday over a Dodge Avenger with a 5.9 in it.

Again, The dakota is IMO the best truck around, however just because I own
and drive one, I don't think that Dodge ist uber alles.
