I got my '97 in March. I don't have 4wd nor, 4-wheel ABS, so I can't help
you there, but I can tell you that I love my truck. I used to own a
sports-sedan so I wanted something kinda sporty and this is the best truck
that I've found for sportiness. I've got the V-8 and I would highly
recommend it. Yea it does gulp the gas, but I didn't expect it to do that
well. However, it is really sensitive on the gas, if you keep the RPM
low, you can actually do pretty good on gas (I've got up to 19.8MPG)
however, once you start to spin the engine a little, the needle on the gas
gauge reminds you (I've got as low as 13MPG). However, my mileage does
seem to be improving, the longer I've driven it. Right now I've got about
2100 miles on it. I also get quite a few compliments on it. I really
like the feel through the steering wheel, usually I hate power steering
because I can't feel the road, but Chrysler did a good job on this one.
The things I don't like are not many, but here they are: The
cupholders are too small to hold anything wider than a 12oz (Sorry I don't
know the metric equivalent) can. The radio is kinda far to reach (That's
probably common on trucks, my blazer was worse). And the gas mileage -
however I wouldn't give up the power for the mileage.
If you want to see the pictures of my truck, you can see them at
my web-page http://www.me.mtu.edu/~jbmisner/index.html or they are on my
profile (Jeff Misner) on the mailing list page.

Overall, It's a great truck and I'll be sad to turn it in when the lease
is up. Hope this helps, and hope you get one!
