I have a V6 4x4 Auto with the 3.9 ratio. I checked mine this morning and @ 70 I'm spinning around 2150 to 2200.

In a message dated 97-04-28 18:00:53 EDT, you write:

<< the engine was at 2100 RPM's not the 2150
I said earlier. It's still not as big of a differance as I thought it
would be compared to Bill's (2250 I think you said). >>

I checked with a friend on the difference in RPM between 3.90 and 4.10 and
4.30 and he has a slide rule type thing from his racing days he told me that
3.90 - 4.10 would add 400 RPM and 3.90 - 4.30 would add 825 RPM and 4.56
would add 1325 RPM. Doesn't seem right 2100 - 3.55 and 2250 - 3.90 but as I
said either tach or speedo could be off a little and throw this off. I will
check with him and see what 3.55 - 3.90 should be.. Anyone else out there
with V8 2WD Auto with any info on RPM at 70 MPH???

Bill
