I've got a Lund screen front on my 96 also (painted to match [Brilliant
Blue]). While I think this does help the bug/rock problem slightly, I
think a cut-to-size piece of screening is the best way to go for radiator
protection, etc. I'm not sure if Lund is offering a screen front for the
'97 Dakotas yet or not, the grill setup is quite different... As far as
looks go, with the Screen Front installed, and painted to match, it makes
the front end look TONS better... got quite a few compliments on it
yesterday at the local car show :-)

Ciao!
