'97 Exhaust Upgrade (again)

Input Requested;

Well folks we have ALL posted an opinion about what type of exhaust set up
each of us prefers (many times), however *Edelbrock* marketing has saw fit
to put the screws to my much anticipated cat-back system.

My intent was to replace the system from the converter back, keeping the
original system for future use, at a reasonable cost, with the least amount
of hassles, increase performance, to receive a deeper or richer exhaust
note, maintaining the exhaust routing close to original (because of being a
4x4, which it is used for), therefore I am looking for alternatives that
stay within these parameters.

Obviously I know about the Gibson system (Steve, now that you have had the
system on for awhile, what's your views?) and someone posted another
system, don't remember what it was.

I have also decided not to go any further (headers) with the upgrade of the
exhaust system.
