Although I may be rare on this list, I actually bought my truck to be a
truck and do truck things. Nonetheless I hate to see the bed get too
scratched up this early on in its life so I recommend the bed mat. Dodge
sells a decent one with the cool logo ($135) but you can probably get one a
bit cheaper elsewhere. Unless you haul piles of bricks around I haven't
seen much need for the bed wall protection of a bed liner. Plus the mat
comes out fairly easily unlike a liner. Personally I'm looking to put a
shell on mine, but if you only haul small things I've seen some excellent
tonneau covers (I couldn't tell you brands though) If you want a shell
(cap,camper whatever) Snugtop and Leer are making cab high ones for the
Dakota now and SnugTop should be just coming out with a slightly larger
one.
