Actually with the stock valve springs, anything above 5500 will probably
blow your engine up (at least the valve-train--push rods, etc.)
Secondly, anything above 4800 rpm is wasted breath with a stock, or
semi modified Dakota... the HP/Torque fall off after that...Again, that's
a stock
or semi-modified (I.e. stock cam)

If I COULD run 6500 rpm in 5th gear, that would be about 183 mph... :P
