I would care. (Steve is known for being different) I can understand
why the hot-rodders would go for the auto but in my case, no thanks.
As I actually four-wheel my truck on some nasty trails, the stick with
the 3.92 gears gives me a 44:1 reduction ratio in low range, and that
is quite rare in 4X4s now. I easily can putt-putt down a 40% grade at
600 RPM and never touch the brakes. The other trucks are either
standing on their brake peddles, bashing rocks (and breaking things)
or are screaming downhill with white-knuckles and puckered butts with
me shaking my head in disbelief....Now a five-speed 360 would have me
figuring out a way to convince the wife that we really need a third
truck!!
