Hi Gang

I have a '93 Dodge Dakota with 55,000 miles on it. The engine is the V-6
Magumn. On a trip to the Denver area this last weekend a roll pin that holds
the the trigger plate to the distributor shaft worked loose and wiped out the
sensor in the distributor. This could give you an instant off at 75 mph on
the freeway. I beleive the pontential is a very dangerous.

If anyone knows of any service bulletins or recalls for this problem I would
like to know.

BTW I had the distributor replaced at Grelley Dodge. They did a good job and
had the parts required. It took them about 10 minutes to trouble shoot.
Talking their mechanic I got the impression that this had happened to other
people. ???? Has it happened to you?

The cost of a new distributor, sensor and labor was $315.00.

Take Care
