That's what the guy at the U-haul place told me... Heck, with all
of the different things I've been told by people at U-haul, who knows the
correct weight. If it were 2000#, it would be within your VEHICLES tow
rating, but probably not U-hauls very ridiculous/conservative tow ratings.

Now, if I tell them a certain vehicle is being carried rather than
another...it really should be up to me (and my common sense on what
a vehicle can/cannot tow). There's nothing on the rental agreement
that has me list the vehicle type that I am towing (to my knowledge, from
the last time I used one)... The only thing that is allowing you or
holding
you up from renting is the guy at the counter...

I have seen people with Mazda Navajo's towing u-haul trailers with
full sized cars/pickups on them... So a lot of people are exceeding their
vehicle's limits without U-haul knowing... If you are serious about
renting
one, and know that you can handle the load (by the books), it will be the
on way you will be able to rent that trailer...

Honesty is the best, but a little stretch of the truth helps sometimes!
