I still don't have my subs. They don't know when they'll get any 8w1s in
to replace the 8w2s they sold me (the guy says the w2s will work even
though JLAudio "doesn't recomend" it (I don't go for it). They offered me
a 8w6 but i don't think i have the mounting depth for it (the magnets on
w6s are HUGE) so i'm waiting, still.
(for those of you who don't know JLAudio's product line; W0 arnt out yet,
W1 are no longer in production, w2 won't work in a sealed inclosure, and W6
are thier competition series $$$$ )
I went ahead and bought a wiring kit (Any tips for running it??). I'm
gonna run the wires now for lack of anything else to do. I'll put the
RCA's on the passenger side, and the power on the drivers side. I have
some pressure tubing from work just big enough for the 8ga power wire to go
through. I'm gonna run the wire under the cab and come up right into the
side compartment where i'll put the amp. The kit I bought came with the
fuse mount with a loop of wire on it. This means i'll have to cut the loop
and use the splice connecter they supplied to connect it to the rest of the
wire. Why'd they do it that way instead of just putting it on one end of
the power cable??
This whole process is starting to get to me. Estimated first turn on; 2010.
