No apologies necessary Andre. This DOES directly apply to the list. If
Jules sold microwaves, then I'd say it's a waste of bandwidth.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion on this debate. Some are very
happy with their dealings with MPI and are willing to spend the extra
money. Others have had less than pleasant experiences. I agree with
Andre's observations. I have no direct dealings with MPI myself, but have
heard from enough people, outside the DML, that I wouldn't ever spend money
there.

If your dealings have been pleasant then that's great. Just remember that
others may have valid reasons for the way they feel. Those that feel this
whole discussion is a waste of time will appreciate it the first time they
deal with ANY shop and get screwed. You can't make an educated purchase
without hearing all sides.

This whole hot rodding hobby is a waste of time if you're not having fun
while doing it. Take the information and form your own opinion. If MPI is
where you feel your money is best spent, then I encourage you 100% to deal
with them. Jules most definitely knows Dodge trucks. You can't spend as
much time as he does offering products for them and NOT know them well.
But also remember that the MPI catolog is not the bible of Dakota
Performance. He probably IS the best at what he does but he is the only
company out there that does it. The company I work for is the largest
supplier of multi-function switches in the world, and I'm the top designer.
Does that make me the best multi-function switch designer in the world? I
don't think so.

Although some may disagree, do ALOT of reading. Talk to people that have
tried various modifications. Listen very carefully to the comments and
experiences of your fellow DML members. From the way I have read this, I
don't think anyone is trying to call anyone a crook. What IS happening is
one Dakota owner is looking out for another. Don't want or like the
advice? Fine, just don't disregard it. Being educated on a subject
involves knowing all sides of an issue, not just the side you agree with.

I feel the same about any advice or commentary *I* give. Just my views,
take it or leave it. I appreciate both Jules' and Andre's views as well as
the rest of the DML members. I don't always agree with what is posted,
but I still enjoy reading others opinions.
