The HD cooling helps a ton, as my '95 has it and my '91 didn't, and
I can speak from experience. The fact that under the same conditions it
has
acted differently, and the FACT that you 'just flushed your cooling system'
,
leads to possibility that you have a bad thermostat.

My mother in law just went through this... Flushed the system, every
thing was fine. We moved her 5th wheel 490 miles in the hot desert heat,
and
the thermostat froze up. Something about the crud in the system getting
sloshed
around, and causing a 'good' thermostat to fail. 115 F. outside temp,
$65.00 for
a 160 F. thermostat, 13 hrs., and 490 miles later we made it (2 weeks ago).
This was a FE-Or-d, but it happened on my '91 too. Anytime I flush a
system,
I take out the thermostat, and flush the entire thing until all the crude
comes out,
drain everything, then replace the thermostat.
