} Why would you get the cat back type exhaust system over having the dual
} exhaust system installed? Is there a bigger gain in the new cat back as
} compared to dual exhaust? My local dealer has not heard of anyone
} putting a dual exhaust system on a dakota and pointed out it would mess
} up the exhaust sensor, and warrenty. Is this true? Couldn't I just
} have a exhaust crossover installed and put the sensor in that crossover
} pipe?

Putting the O2 sensor in the crossover would be the worst place. Just
put it on one side and hope for the best. If you are in CA or many
other states this is all illegal. It is illegal to change anything
before the cat unless it is EPA and CARB (in CA) approved. And you
won't find any dual systems that are approved. Also look underneath
and see how you are going to route dual past the gas tank. It can be
done, but not easily.
