True. But starting out in 2nd gear during everyday driving will decrease
clutch life. I have 5 speed with 3.55 and V8 and I don't have a problem
with first gear. Sure, you have to shift to 2nd fairly quickly, but it's
no big deal. I can start in 2nd gear, but it sure does take a lot more
clutch usage to coax it into a smooth start.
