   We can't win. :-)

   If you stick something in the back of the bed, Murphy's law will
guarantee that you'll have to brake hard before getting to your
destination. If you try to outsmart Murphy and put it in the front
of the bed, it'll slam back against the tailgate as soon as you
put your foot into it. :-)

  To say nothing of cargo sliding from side to side while turning.
Argh!!
