Dick,
I can read perfectly well and read more than the silliness that CU reports
which when one finds out how they really do things shows that they are
biased. They loudly proclaimed that the Horizen was "unstable" and unsafe
because they couldn't crank the steering wheel 90 degrees let it go and
have the car return to straight line travel - in any direction whatever.
When questioned on the importance of this they offered no insight into why
it was done or what it proved. This according to a graduate engineer who
was Tech Editor of Road and Track at the time.
The fact that Toyota V-6's, at least in years past, have blown head
gaskets and worse at around 60k miles isn't reported in CU for some
reason. Evidently the Canadian Automobile Ass'n is able to extract such
data and report it, however.
If you like CU so dearly that's fine with me, but you should know that
their tests are questionable at least as far as motor vehicles are
concerned. This leads me to believe that their testing procedures for
other products are also flawed.
When you read you too should read things fully, like why BOTH Isuzu and
Suzuki have a problem with and/or are suing CU.
Bye Dickie.
Yr ltrt svt,
Larry Elliott
